SCP (Sierra CP) internal combustion engine standard intake system, named "CAHU"
The temperature/humidity/pressure of the internal combustion engine intake has a direct impact on the engine test results:
For every 5% change in humidity, the impact on NOx emission measurement results is approximately 2%.
For every 1mBar change in pressure, the impact on torque measurement results is approximately 0.12%.
For every 1K change in temperature, the measurement results for power and fuel consumption are approximately 0.5%.
Due to the existence of transient cycle conditions such as ETC, the response speed of internal combustion engine intake control must be significantly improved.
The concept of response speed is that when the engine operating conditions change, the time for the intake temperature, humidity, and pressure to return to the rated range should be less than 1 second.
The rated range is: temperature: 25 ± 0.5 ℃; Humidity: 30 ± 3% or 50 ± 3%; Pressure: 1013 ± 1mBar.
Based on the clever design of SCP UK technicians, CAHU has excellent performance and is a system that can meet various transient conditions throughout the entire experimental process. That is to say, the gas supply pipeline of CAHU can be airtightly connected to the intake pipeline of the internal combustion engine. No need for horn mouth design.
